The unfinished tomb was discovered  in 1817 by Giovanni Battista Belzoni containing number of intrusive burials, probably of XXIInd dynasty date. Montuherkhopshef, a son of Ramesses IX was buried at Ramesses X's reign. Before him the tomb had been intended as a royal gift for a prince named Ramesses Sethherkhopshef. On each side of the first corridor, were painted seven scenes showing Montuherkhopshef worshipping and offering to the various gods.
